Alexandra "Alex" Scott, who was fighting cancer, wanted to raise money to find cures for all children with cancer. So, she set up a simple lemonade stand. When she passed away at the age of eight, she had reached her goal to raise $1 million. Today, Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation is one of the leading funders of childhood cancer research in the U.S.

Sylvia is her family's hero because despite all she has gone through, she has kept a positive attitude. She has been kind and caring, often thanking her doctors and nurses. Not once has she let cancer define her.

Alex's Lemonade Stand Program

In July 2021, shoppers were invited to purchase lemon themed items with the Alex's Lemonade Stand logo. For every item purchased, ALDI made a donation to families with children battling cancer, up to $1 million.
